About 3 sisters & a brother

They were 12, 12, 10 and 7 when Chelsea, Terry II, Jillian and Courtney, 3 sisters and one brother, decided to enter the business world.  The idea came after shopping for a gift for their mom.  They decided instead of giving her the traditional boy and girl charms to wear around her neck, they would create a special necklace which would speak of them and not just their gender.  From there, they focused on the passions of others and created a line of jewelry to match.  The children started by selling their jewelry to neighbors and friends and at local craft shows.  Soon after, they entered the wholesale market, furnishing stores and specialty boutiques with their custom art.  In January 2004, together with their family, they opened the “Bead Shack”- a place where visitors could purchase jewelry, hold a party or obtain all the supplies they might need to create their own design.  For those whose creativity leaned more towards arts & crafts, we offered Café Décor opening in 2005 as a natural extension of the Bead Shack, this creative hub provided a further outlet for discovering and exploring the creative talents of its patrons.  Similar to the Bead Shack, Cafe Decor was a regular venue for birthday parties and youth groups - who came to enjoy and benefit from this mixed medium studio.  In February of 2010, 3s&b proudly closed the doors of The Bead Shack and Cafe Decor - since other doors were opening...

About Our Businesses

The Bead Shack

Featured an extensive Bead Bar where our patrons could either purchase beads, charms and findings to go or take advantage of the ample seating area - to design and create on site.   They did not require experience, we were happy to assist with the basics.  We charged no sitting fee - our patrons simply paid for the materials they selected and used.  They did not need to make an appointment - but we would appreciate it if they would call in advance when bringing a larger group.

The Bead Shack also was a popular place for birthday parties, scout troops, end of season celebrations, fund raising activities, group activities and ladies outings.

Cafe Decor

A creative hub that provided a fun and comfortable outlet for both children and adults to discover and explore their creative talents - also was great for Mommy/Daddy and Me dates.

Cafe Decor was a regular venue for birthday parties, youth groups and drop-in visitors - who came to enjoy and benefit from our mixed medium studio.   With proper guidance and the right tools provided by our team, anyone was able to create fun, practical and personalized craft projects, decorating accessories and more … that they could take with them when they left.
